Get your tickets now for the 2018 Cologuard Classic hosted by the Tucson Conquistadores. Formerly the Tucson Conquistadores Classic, this official PGA Tour Champions event will take place February 28-March 4, 2018 at the Omni Tucson National Resort.
New Name, Same Game
While the name of the event has changed to reflect the new title sponsor, Cologuard, an early colon cancer detection company, the game will be the same with proceeds benefiting youth athletic programs throughout Southern Arizona like always. Over the last 52 golf seasons, the Tucson Conquistadores have raised more than $33 million for area charities with the mission of promoting interest in amateur athletics among youth, particularly disadvantaged and physically or mentally challenged children.
Up first is the Jose Cuervo Pro-Am, Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 1. This two-day event pairs amateur players with a different golf legend each day for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
You’ll become a pro for a day and get up close and personal with PGA TOUR Hall of Famers, Champions Tour favorites, and golf’s greatest players during this unforgettable experience. Tickets include an amateur playing position, breakfast and lunch in the Conquistador Club Hospitality Tent with the pros, an autographed team photo, Jose Cuervo gift package, and much more.
Spectator admission is $20 to the event and this is your best chance to get photos or autographs from the players.
Tournament play takes place from Friday, March 2, through Sunday, March 4. During this main event, 78 players will compete for a $1.7-million purse with a first place prize of $255,000. Over the course of three days, the no-cut format will see the pros make their way through 54 holes on the Omni Tucson National Resort’s Catalina Course.
Spectators can take advantage of the first-class hospitality available during the Cologuard Classic. Whether you’re entertaining business clients or prospective clients, hosting community leaders, or rewarding employees, you can entertain your own group at the event with the many ticket and hospitality packages available. Choose from the ultra-exclusive Champions Suites on the 18th green, lively sports bar atmosphere of the Conquistador Club, and every type of spectator accommodation in between.
After an exciting day of golf, be sure to join the official after party. The free festivities kick off Friday night, March 2, immediately following the tournament play. Once the last putt drops, it’s time for music, drinks, dancing, and more at the Conquistador Club with Scott Collier and the Midnight Special Band performing.
The charitable efforts of the Cologuard Classic are not limited to the golf events. If running or walking is more your speed, join the 5k Fun Run/Walk of the course presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Tucson Medical Center.
As the title sponsor, Cologuard seeks to raise awareness of colon cancer screening to encourage early detection. March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month and an excellent opportunity to bring awareness to this cancer which is 90% preventable with screening.
Cologuard is a non-invasive screening test available by prescription. Patients simply collect a sample in the comfort of their own home and then safely and securely send it off to a laboratory for testing. Unexpected surprises can happen in life, don’t let colon cancer be one of them. Get screened today!
