The course is set and the grandstands are in place for the Cologuard Classic happening this Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4. Get your tickets now and join the action taking place at the Omni Tucson National Resort.
Gates open daily at 9 a.m. for three days of competition covering 54 holes of stroke play on the Omni’s 18-hole Catalina Course. The no-cut format will see 78 professionals compete for a purse of $1.7 million with a first place prize of $255,000.
Tickets
General admission is $35 per day or $95 for all three days. Discounts are available for buying tickets in bulk.
Spectators also have the option to purchase a variety of hospitality packages where you’ll receive first-class amenities. Get a prime spot at the beer garden with Conquistador Club credentials, have lunch under the shaded observation deck at the 16th hole with Founders Club credentials, entertain a group of 15 or 30 at the semi-private Champions Suites surrounding the 18th green, or opt for the all-inclusive Catalina Suites where you can host 40 people in a prime location surrounding the 9th green.
After Party
Be sure to catch the opening day of the tournament on Friday, and then stick around for the Tucson Conquistadores After Party at the Conquistador Club. Admission is included with all tickets.
Festivities will kick off around 5:30 p.m. after the last putt. Scott Collier and the Midnight Special Band will lead the party with live music for dancing, and drinks will be available from the cash bar.
Hole-in-One Challenge
New to the Cologuard Classic this year is the Hole-in-One Challenge taking place during the second round of play on Saturday, March 3. In honor of the tournament’s new sponsor, Cologuard from Exact Sciences which is a non-invasive screening test for colorectal cancer, and National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, $50,000 will be donated to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation and $50,000 to The First Tee of Tucson if one of the pros makes a hole in one on the 16th hole. Age 50 is the commonly recommended time to begin cancer screening.
Attendees and players are also encouraged to wear blue that day to help raise awareness for colon cancer. The first 10,000 fans on Saturday will receive a free colon cancer awareness pin.
5k Fun Run/Walk
There’s still time to sign up for the Conquistadores Classic 5k Fun Run and Walk on the morning of the final round, Sunday, March 4. Like all of the Cologuard Classic events, proceeds will support youth athletic programs throughout Southern Arizona. Race entry includes breakfast, snacks, beverages, and a race shirt. After starting your day with a 5k, stay for the culmination of the Cologuard Classic and watch the pros compete for the top title! Admission for Sunday is included with your race ticket.
Parking
General Public Parking will be located at Ina Road and Thornydale Road on West Aerie Drive behind Target. Public parking is $5 per vehicle and includes shuttle service to and from the Omni.
For those with a parking pass, Preferred Parking will be located at the Foothills Malls West Side Lot, off of Ina Road and La Cholla Boulevard. Parking passes are included with the purchase of a hospitality package and also include shuttle service.
